Mohammed Alhamadi is a Senior Standards Engineering working for Qatar Petroleum. He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering. He is doing another degree in Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar with a double major in Painting & Printmakeing and Fashion Design. Mohammed has been heavily involved in the art scene in Doha since 2007 and in Tulsa, Oklahoma before that. In July 2011, Mohammed joined the Innovation Group as the CEO of Innovation Films and helped produce 4 films since then.

 

 

 

 

Ahmed Al Baker

‘From dream to reality’ was the title of Ahmed Al Baker’s inspiring TED speech in 2010, where he told the story of changing his career in less than a year. In 2009 he decided it was time to pursure his passion, so he started shooting his first full lenghth film that he wrote, produced, and directed entitled: ‘The package’. Along with producing his first film, Ahmed had co founded a Qatari based Film for production company ‘Innovation Films’, that produced over 3 feature films and a number of short films for local filmmakers.

 


In 2011 Ahmed had completed his 2nd feature film ‘Lockdown: Red moon escape’ that he co wrote and directed, making its first sceening at the 5th edition of the Gulf film festival and its premiere at the 4th edition of the Doha Tribeca film festival. Parallel to that he produce an American horror indie feature film titled ‘Kill-Cam’. While shooting his 2nd feature Ahmed joined the vision of QTVSDC (Qatar TV support and Development committee) in developing the film industry by producing workshops that teach acting and film techniques, which resulted into engaging local talent in films that are produced by his company.

 

 

 

Khalid Al Jaber

Khalid Al Jaber received his Masters from University of East London majoring in Innovative Technologies where he concentrated on forensics and computer crime fields. This has enabled him to start his PhD research in Digital forensics from the University of Portsmouth in January 2011. Khalid received his Bachelor degree from Richmond the American International University in London, Majoring in Computing & Information Systems, where he trasfered from University of Maryland, University sity College in Germany.

In 2010 Al Jaber created Innovation Films subsidiary of Innovation Group. The Aim was to develop cinema and filmmaking in the region with the help of his filmmaker partners. Al Jaber produced his first full length film ‘Lockdown’ and is set to produce a number of short films in 2012 along with a feature project partnering with Waterstone entertainment. Innovation Films also Specialize in Film (Cinema, Documentary, Adds), casting and talent finding, Acting and filmmaking workshops and equipment rental.

 

  

Bassam Al Ibrahim

Upon graduation from the University of Essex in the UK with a Bachelors of Engineering & Telecommunications in 2001, Bassam Al Ibrahim joined Qatar Telecoms. He later moved to Vodafone Qatar as a Partnership Manager, and currently leads Vodafone’s partnership activities as Head of Partner Management. Bassam’s educational background, project management aptitude, and business acumen aid him in his efforts to oversee Vodafone Qatar’s extensive network of partner agreements with both local and international suppliers.


In 2008, Bassam co-founded ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) – an online community forum that has developed into one of Qatar’s most successful brands, respected for both its operational excellence as well as its community support initiatives. ILQ sponsors and partners with community building events and initiatives that raise awareness about critical concerns in the community. The business’ spirit lies in its name- and its operational model reflects its inherent aim to make Qatar a better to place to live and do business in.


Bassam plays an integral role in the expansion of the ILQ brand such as the recent launch and management of ILQ’s social media consultancy. Bassam is also working to launch an international standard radio station in Qatar, ILQ Radio, which will look to rival the best radio stations in the region, providing listeners with access to the latest music, lifestyle and pop culture content. As a founding board member, Bassam aims to make ILQ Radio a vehicle for positive change in Qatar and a destination-of-choice for English-language advertisers who are presented with limited options at this time.


Bassam is an appointed committee member on ictQATAR’s youth internet policies initiative, which is working to transform the way youth use the internet in Qatar.
